Proposed new SPRC Sportsman bike class

General Notice

SPRC are currently looking into the creation of a new bike class within the SPRC Sportsman Championship, we are looking for input from the riders that this may consider the options below.

Option 1 – ET Pro Bike
This class will run on a dial your own ET basis between 8.70 and 7.50 seconds on the quarter mile, this will run on a staggered pro tree with a Pro ladder, however based on the index limits the class will require a National ACU licence to compete. (see regs below)

Option 2 – 7.50 Bike
This class will run on the same basis as 9.50 & 8.50 bike, a heads-up class with no break out on a Pro tree, once again due to the ET limits the class will require a National licence to compete. (see regs below)

Both options will allow slick and wheelie bar combinations with regulations following those of Comp bike, but with no rear tyre size limitation.

The idea being a stepping stone from either 8.50 bike or ET Bike, to  all of the ACU classes, this idea first mentioned by Ian Chrichlow and Trevis Merite.
