Following an accident in the pit area during the Summer Nationals, Santa Pod Raceway have issued the following statement.
Important Safety Announcement from Santa Pod Raceway
Santa Pod Raceway would like to re-iterate to customers and racers that E-Scooters are not permitted at the Raceway under any circumstances. The use of E-Scooters on any highway or in any public area is ILLEGAL. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we will be enforcing these rules more vigilantly from this point forwards. We would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the following rules, which have been recently refreshed for clarity.
- 10 MPH Speed Limit Everywhere on Site! Except for the drag strip of course.
- NO driving around the site after 9PM.No stunts, burnouts or donuts in roadways or campsites.
- NO quad bikes, mopeds or any other unlicensed and uninsured motorised vehicles are allowed outside of the pits.
- Auxiliary pit vehicles (as listed above) are permitted for journeys from your pit bay to and from the Startline ONLY. No riders under 17 years of age permitted. Helmets must be worn at all times. Using pit vehicles for recreational use or to visit the facilities is NOT permitted.
- NO E-Scooters under any circumstances – they are illegal!
- NO Joy riding in the pit areas on any vehicle
- NO parking on any roadway – park only in the camping or parking areas and in accordance with the instructions of the parking/pit marshals.
- Relevant signage and notices must be adhered to at all times
- Vehicles will be impounded if any of the above is not complied with or if excessive speed or careless riding practises are used at any time throughout the weekend.
